Anna Sergeyevna Koournikova (born in Russian) is a native of America who was a ex-prodigy of tennis and a TV presenter. She became a tennis star because of her appearance as well as her fame. Anna Kournikova was a tennis player in Russia for several years. At one point she was considered to be the greatest female tennis star. Kournikova did not have a great singles record, but was hugely successful in doubles. Also, she was a highly praised partner with Martina Hingis. Her modeling and looks made her famous worldwide. Her name is one of the top athletes searched on the Internet. Kournikova played the ball fast and with spin on the court for singles. She was a modern baseline player. The basis of her game was an impressive return and powerful groundstrokes, and she was also at the net every time she had an opportunity.
